Hudson Downtown Holiday Stroll
The sixth annual Hudson Downtown Holiday Stroll will take place on Friday, December 5, 2008, 4 - 10 p.m. The event will feature Santa
and his elves, food, music, horse drawn hayrides, an animal exhibit and fun for all ages throughout downtown Hudson.
Activites start for younger children start with craft activities at the Library and an animal
exhibit from 4-8 p.m. at Hudson Appliance Center with complimentary warm cider
The signature event happens at 6 p.m. with Santa and his elves arriving by a horse drawn carriage and lighting of the Christmas Tree on the Rotary. Santa will then travel from the Rotary down Main Street to the Town Hall Auditorium where he will then listen to children's Christmas gift requests, and parents can bring cameras to capture the action. At 8 p.m. Santa and the elves will pause to sing a final song on the steps of Town Hall and then depart for the North Pole.
Horse drawn hayrides will start at Robinson's Ace Hardware, and will be offered from 6-8 p.m. Free London Taxi rides will be be given also.
Live musical performances will take place at a number of locations. Carolers will stroll throughout downtown, and restaurants have musical performances until 10 p.m. Performing at the Town Hall are several talented groups:

Many downtown Hudson storefronts will be decorated and open late for shopping and enjoying the holiday spirit. Several of the downtown merchants and restaurants will be open late, offering special events, promotions, raffles, open houses and refreshments. There will be something for everyone.
